Hello readers :) hope you all are doing well. Today's blog is all about procrastination and we all know it has become a regular routine for us to procrastinate our work on daily basis no matter sometimes it being an important task too.

There's a thin line between procrastination and knowing what to prioritize first. All of us plan all stuff we want to do but somehow end up doing nothing. So, without wasting anymore time let's jump in how I changed this habit and how you can too.

1. Changing your sleep schedule:

Yes, you read it right changing your sleep schedule plays a very important role in stopping to procrastinate. Let me tell you why, if you sleep late, it's obvious that you will wake up late too. So, start off with sleeping early. If you sleep by 10:30 pm or even 11:30 pm you will be able to wake up by 4:30 am or 5:00 am in the morning. wake up before the sun rise.

For those who feel sleepy in the morning hours even after sleeping for 6-8 hours it's the best. Like, for me it was so difficult and even if I planned on getting up, I would turn off my alarm and sleep again! so, what I did was started changing my sleep schedule by working whole night during study leave and sleeping in the morning for about a week or so. I know for some people it's a bad idea, but this worked for me. Also, if you stay with parents its quite difficult. Then once I did not sleep until the next afternoon and only in the evening I slept, did it for a couple of days and woke up midnight. Then after I slept early and woke up early. For school or college students resting for an hour and start studying, doing assignments in the evening and do rest work in the morning. I am a college student too ;)

2. Staying determined strongly:

In the process of achieving to stop procrastinating you need to be determined and self-motivating is the only way. Example: "If I don't get up and workout, I would never be able to achieve anything in life that I badly want", "I will be able to do it, no matter what".

Speak to yourself if might sound weird but yes it helps you know better about yourself and what you want. You will find answers in yourself.

3. Stay planned:

Before working plan what you want to do. Planning is of no use if you don't even want to work on it with full determination. Make realistic plans with small goals but don't use up all times planning.

4. Executing the plan:

This is where most of us end up giving up either because you feel it's kind of difficult or a change of mind or being lazy. There also some out there who starts doing it for a couple of days and gives themselves excuses in the name of rest. Do you know the immense happiness and pleasurable the feeling is to achieve even the smallest goals. It's okay if no one's appreciating, appreciate yourself for the initiations. In the end of each goal put a prize. For example: If you complete a particular project before time, you will give yourself a cupcake treat. It sounds exciting right.

5. Positive attitude:

To achieve anything, you should first have a positive attitude and that you will not give up no matter what. Promising yourself to stay self-motivated. Staying disciplined to what you're doing. Firstly, you need to change habits that are stopping you from reaching goals.

6. Brainstorming and Emotions:

Sometimes emotions are the reasons we are been hold back in even trying to do something we know might be the best if practiced or if an opportunity is taken into consideration. It's okay if you can't forgive something or someone but if it's you forgive yourself first and second is learning to let go off it's something you learn with passing time though. These two things play a very important role. Emotions effects brainstorming according to my perspective.

Brainstorming is that where you have to and need to think why? how? when? where? of the goal you want to achieve. These questions to yourself plays a very important role.

These are the 6 things you can work on to stop procrastination. Don't dare stop, because if you do how would you achieve? If there's difficulty you feel it's just the start my friend, there's a long way to go and by then it will become a habit of yours to work with principles and disciplines. Every discipline needs a start and that's change in your own behavior.
