Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog The Worms of New Era. Today I have come up with 10 reasons for women's empowerment and explained each. My perspective on empowering and supporting women for equality is not to be able to be masculine at all but simply be paid for what we deserve, get opportunities, and education, and be respected. The gender difference should not be between dreams or goals and wings clipped.

10 Reasons:

1. Unwanted girl child - Most families in India still believe that having a boy child is better as he can earn and take responsibility for his family. If it's a girl child, they need to give a dowry, and when she is not going to stay there, they still need to educate her.

2. Childhood Trauma. - Girls are usually discriminated against at home from household, work to education. Most daughters are hit or say abused at home which is so traumatizing, and the impact stays lifelong. When they get older, they carry it to their children, usually building trauma bonds, do not know how to make decisions or have no boundaries. They might look normal, but you have no idea how many things trigger them, scare them, and make them feel undeserving or unloved.

3. Sexual Harassment and rape - Usually these are done by relativities, family, friends, or family friends and not just once but for a long time which is also done at an age they don't even know what's happening with them. Some cases when shared with mother or sister are asked to keep quiet.

The world would be a better place if someone took a stand for us.

4. Underestimated - " You are a girl, what can you even do? ", " Your job is to do household chores and take care of husband and kids", " You are a girl, career is not for you", " You are a girl, you can't build a house by yourself", " You cannot do it, you are weak". We need to empower women so that they can take a stand for themselves, believe in themselves, and take a stand for themselves.

Start cutting people from your life who serve nothing to your table but rather take away good energies!

5. Took as weakest living creatures - Women have bone and body weight but aren't weak mentally or physically. To show women are weak they are manipulated, gaslighted, and dominated by the male and the society. Both genders are needed in society but not by degrading one's existence.

Let women stand for one another rather than hurt and grow emotionally, mentally, and physically stronger together.

6. The Impurity of Period Blood - Why is period blood often viewed as impure? Simply because it originates from the vagina? Biologically speaking, there is nothing inherently impure about it. Blood is present throughout our bodies. Ovaries produce eggs which are released unless one is pregnant or in menopause. Should women feel ashamed, isolated, or considered untouchable because of this natural process? While most families do not consider it untouchable, I have encountered situations where everything I touch is immediately washed. It should not be a taboo topic and should be openly discussed.

7. Skin Tone Discrimination - Women and girls with fair skin receive compliments, while those with darker skin face ridicule. I have personally experienced comments about my medium skin tone. It's a natural trait, so why should anyone be made to feel uneasy about their skin?

Instead, why not help them feel beautiful in their skin without impacting their mental well-being?

8. Women shouldn't have dreams and goals to achieve - There are still families that if given the option to choose their daughter or son to educate would choose their son even if their daughter is better. Why can't girls choose to work after marriage? the reason is often given that independence these days is ruining everything. Females were never meant to work or do anything of their choice but to take care of kids and husbands. Out of 10 men at least 7 of them will want a housewife even if their women want to pursue something. Why not just support them and see them satisfied and happy?

"Why would anyone want to have a life where you can't spread your wings and fly but stay clipped and caged?"

9. Gender discrimination at workplaces - Women at work are either not promoted or paid low even if they worked hard and deserved it. isn't that gender bias? In some places, women are demanded to get sexual if they want to survive there. Instead, why not make a safe place for them?

10. Prostitution - Sex workers, also known as prostitutes, are often stigmatized for using their bodies as a means of earning a living. However, why is it considered shameful when the demand for pleasure exists from the opposite gender? This profession has emerged due to the demand for it. How would you judge the plight of those who are forced into this trade? Many engage in prostitution out of necessity to provide for themselves, not out of choice or pleasure. Once you are sold there you could never live normally or be accepted by society.

I conclude by-

Everything begins with you so, start taking a stand for yourself and who knows you might be a role model to many, you can't alter the past, but you have the power to make a bright present and future. Take care and keep smiling. I appreciate all my reader for their precious time and hope it was beneficial to you.
